Tactile Bosch
tactileBOSCH is an artist-led live art collective based in Wales. Since 2001, it has reactivated disused and marginal spaces across Cardiff and beyond, creating temporary environments where performance, installation, sound and social encounter collide. tactileBOSCH supports artists working at the edges of practice and brings audiences together for experimental, unpredictable live encounters.
For RAFT, SGÔR will use the Valleys Archive Project as a point of artistic departure for generating performance, and look for ways in which we can bridge a dialogue between histories of the Rhondda and our own recently unearthed histories and invite artists and audiences to reactivate past moments through liveness as artistic practice.
SGÔR is a pulsating slime of oddballs and artists from across Wales. Devised in 2022 as a provocation to explore ‘live-ness’ and performativity within the Welsh context, SGÔR is a curious constellation of energies and aspirations, constantly reshaping and redefining the boundaries of its own creative expression. Central to the group’s method is a thirst for playfulness, collaboration, co-authorship, grit, tenderness, the ephemeral, and the ‘live’. Working together to perform in the face of the unknown. SGÔR thrives on spontaneous creative exchange, where differences interplay, allowing a range of diverse voices to collide and ignite in unique and unexpected circumstances.
